crazy beautiful life.

So, the 11th was our anniversary, and one of the most amazing days of my life. He proposed. We actually took a 9 day vacation from work to just spend time together since our schedules don't ever work in our favor.

I had already made special plans for us to stay at the Ocean Beach Club resort at the Oceanfront, as a surprise. So on the 10th, I still hadn't told him about it, instead after we went out to take care of a few errands, I told him I needed to go back home and pick something up. Low and behold, it was a suitcase with all our stuff we needed for the resort. He was upset because he so-called, "hates surprises!" But I knew he was feeling like a little kid inside.

We finally got to the resort after going through the maze of the many parking garages that all look the same. We checked in, got in our room, and he was happy. We had an amazing view of the beach, an awesome cute cozy room, and the most comfortable bed ever created. First night, we went swimming in the indoor pool, which had crazy fun waterfalls and a neat atmosphere. Then off to the room to spend more time...in the jacuzzi tub ; P

Next day, ate at Pocahantes Pancakes, it was delish. Then just hung out in the room, watched the Bucket List, cried, fell asleep, woke up, went down to the game room played some cool Lego game on the Wii and Guitar Hero (awesomeness.) So we got hungry and could not decide on what we wanted. And randomly Jon says, "I'll go to Planet Pizza down the street and pick up some food, I'll be back soon." And conveniently before he left he popped Sex and the City in the DVD player, and I got hooked! So about an hour into the movie I thought, "Where the heck is he at?" I had no signal in the hotel so I wasn't able to text or call him.

He finally got a text through to me, "Plant Pizza is giving me a hard time, they also burnt the pizza, I'm picking something up at home, and I ordered pizza from Pizzeria instead." It didn't bother me at all, since I was watching Sex and the City!

So about another hour later, "OMG baby, they gave me such a hard time..blah blah blah, and when I went home the dogs got out the cage and pooped everywhere." It still didn't really phase me because I was still watching the movie, eating the amazing Hawaiin pizza that was delivered to the room. And then it happened, i wasn't exactly paying attention at first, but I glanced over and there he was, on one knee next to the bed, holding the most beautiful ring I had ever seen.

I did a double take because I could not believe the moment was actually happening. And he said it, " Will you marry me?". And I was so shocked, I just cried. And at that point I was the happiest girl in the world.

That night I could not take my eyes off the ring. We went to Salacia afterwards, and it was absolutely delicious and the restaurant was so sophisticated. Overall, it was the most perfect night. I will never ever forget 11.11.08.
